Industrial Air Pollution Monitoring - Short Courses

Course details

The monitoring of industrial emissions to atmosphere is a discipline that is changing rapidly in response to requirements flowing from EU directives and increased demands from regulators. Hardware, software and the management framework within which they operate have all evolved. Certification of both instruments and manpower has arrived. Keeping abreast of developments is a continual challenge.

This three day short course will provide a broad overview of the whole subject and is suitable for those needing an introduction to the field and for those wishing to update their knowledge. The course will also provide an opportunity to meet providers of equipment and services.

Sessions on Day one are particularly relevant to MCERTS Level 2 (Team Leaders) and Day two is particularly relevant to MCERTS Technical Endorsements 1 (particles), 2 (trace species), 3 (manual methods for gases). Sessions on Day three are particularly relevant to MCERTS Technical Endorsement 4 (Instrumental methods for gases). The afternoon workshop is relevant to everyone involved in emissions monitoring.
