Call for Papers

Submitting Papers
You and your colleagues are invited to submit a paper(s) (academic or industrial) by first providing an abstract to the Chair of the Scientific Advisory Committee for review by members of the Scientific Advisory Board. Abstracts should be no more than 2 pages long (including figures and references) in Word format.

Submit your abstract, by email to UKPKCC-abstracts@leeds.ac.uk no later than Friday 24 February 2012.

Areas of interest – coal combustion, power generation, coal mining, geology of the Pakistani coal fields and gasification. Papers in related areas will also be considered.

We would welcome industrial exhibition posters/papers from companies who could see business opportunities in developing the coal production and power industries in Pakistan, at this early stage. Contributions could be in the areas of training or equipment supply for mining and power generation from coal. Contributions in other related areas would be welcome.

Proceedings
A conference volume of all presented papers will be available. We would also encourage submission of papers to the Scientific Advisory Panel for review and publication in the Journal of the Energy Institute (ISSN: 1743-9671) provided we get a full paper by Friday 13th April 2012. The papers will be reviewed by the panel and authors will be notified by Friday 27th April 2012. Use JEI format for papers.
