UK/EU

Dean of Engineering Excellence Scholarship

Who is eligible? Any UK/EU applicant who has been offered a place on any of the postgraduate masters courses within the School of Mechanical Engineering.
How are they awarded? This is an automatic scholarship awarded on condition of you achieving the equivalent of a UK first class degree.
How much are they worth? £1,000
Application deadline No deadline - automatic
Conditions apply Applicants must be self-funding, classified as UK/EU for tuition fee purposes and not be in receipt of any other University of Leeds award.

Alumni Bursary

This bursary is for any former student of the University of Leeds studying for a postgraduate qualification in the School of Mechanical Engineering. Excluding courses that are run in conjunction with other universities. This bursary is open to students who are commencing their studies from September 2013 onwards, the bursary can not be awarded retrospectively. To find out more about the Alumni Bursary, please visit the University's website.
Who is eligible? This is an automatic bursary but you have to inform us and provide evidence that you are a former student of the University of Leeds.
How much is it worth? The University will pay 10% of your fees for each year of the course. If no fees paid then no bursary is awarded.
Application deadline None – automatic. If you think you are eligible you need to contact the relevant admissions team for the course you have applied for.

Royal Academy of Engineering - Aerospace MSc Bursary Scheme
The UK aerospace industry is a world-class example of how Britain remains home to excellent advanced manufacturing and high integrity engineering. These MSc Awards are designed to support the UK Aerospace industry by helping to develop the next generation of professional engineers for the sector.

Our MSc Advanced Mechanical Engineering course has been identified in conjunction with the Scheme's partner companies as supporting the aims of the scheme and is therefore eligible for the bursary. Further details can be found on the Royal Academy of Engineering's website.

Head of School Excellence Scholarship

Who is eligible? Any international applicant who has been offered a place on any of the postgraduate masters courses within the School of Mechanical Engineering.
How are they awarded? This is an automatic scholarship awarded on condition of you achieving the equivalent of a UK first class degree.
How much are they worth? £2,000
Application deadline No deadline - automatic
Conditions apply Applicants must be self-funding, full time, classified as international for tuition fee purposes and not be in receipt of any other University of Leeds award.

COLFUTURO - Scholarship Loan Scheme

Who is eligible? Students in Colombia interested in this Joint Graduate Loan-Scholarship Programme.
How are they awarded? Students who hold an academic offer as full-time taught postgraduate with the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leeds and who are selected as beneficiaries of the Loan-Scholarship Programme of COLFUTURO.
How much are they worth? 20% tuition fee scholarship to all eligible students.
