Centre for Computational Fluid Dynamics
The Centre for Computational Fluid Dynamics is unique in the UK, Europe and the World. Its interdisciplinary membership covers a range of Departments and Schools across the University, principally: Aviation and Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Computing, Earth Sciences, Environment, Fuel and Energy, Geography, Materials, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, and Physics.
Institute for Process Research and Development (iPRD)
iPRD is comprised of experts from the field of chemistry and engineering, who work closely with the fine chemical and pharmaceutical industries, to develop technology which can improve manufacturing processes and thereby impact on costs, quality, productivity, waste and energy.
Centre for Integrated Energy Research
The Centre for Integrated Energy Research was initiated in October 2010, through a substantial investment by the University of Leeds’ Transformation Fund.
The Centre is a joint venture between the Faculties of Engineering and Environment and has connectivity right across the Leeds campus and beyond.
Through world-class research integrating technological, economics and policy, and socio-technical aspects of energy, the Centre aims to deliver key tools needed to enable, enhance and accelerate transition to low carbon, secure, economically viable and socially equitable energy systems at national, European and global levels.
Centre for Integrated Petroleum Engineering and Geoscience (CiPEG)
CiPEG fosters and promotes multidisciplinary petroleum-related research and training at the University of Leeds. By combining expertise in Engineering and Geoscience, our vision is to become the leading UK provider of integrated research and training to the oil industry.
