We have a range of expertise in the area of nanotechnology which can be broken down under the following headings: Molecular beam epitaxy; Nanomaterials; Oil and gas flow assurance; Industrial inkjet technology.

Molecular beam epitaxy

The Institute of Microwaves and Photonics is actively engaged in research in this area.

The Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering has some research activity and student projects in this area although it is not the primary focus of their activity.

Nanomaterials

The Institute for Materials Research is actively engaged in research in this areas of characterisation, thin films and nanoparticles.

Oil and gas flow assurance

The Institute of Engineering Thermofluids, Surfaces and Interfaces is actively engaged in research in this area.

Industrial inkjet technology

The Institute of Engineering Thermofluids, Surfaces and Interfaces is actively engaged in research in this area.
