Listed below are the postgraduate masters scholarships and bursaries offered by the schools within the Faculty of Engineering.
Leeds Alumni – Graduate Bursary
| This is a bursary for any former student (and for children of former students) of the University of Leeds studying for a postgraduate qualification in the Faculty of Engineering. Excluding courses that are run in conjunction with other universities. This bursary is open to students who are commencing their studies from September 2012 and can not be awarded retrospectively. | |
| Who is eligible? | This is an automatic bursary but you have to inform us and provide evidence that you or a parent/step-parent are former students of the University of Leeds. |
| How much is it worth? | The University will pay 10% of your fees for each year of the course. If no fees paid then no bursary is awarded. |
| Application deadline | None – automatic. If you think you are eligible you need to contact the relevant admissions team for the course you have applied for. |
Home/EU Excellence Scholarships
| We have a number of excellence scholarships available for those wishing to study in any of the five schools within the Faculty of Engineering. | |
| Who is eligible? | Any potential student who has been offered a place on any of the postgraduate masters courses within the Faculty of Engineering. You must also be liable to pay full fees at the home/EU rate of £10,000. |
| How are they awarded? | Academic achievement/excellence (consideration will only be given to students who have achieved a 1st class (or equivalent) degree) |
| How much are they worth? | £5,000 for full time home/EU fee paying students |
| How many are available? | School of Civil Engineering - 10 School of Computing - 3 School of Electronic & Electrical Engineering - 6 School of Mechanical Engineering - 5 School of Process, Environmental and Materials Engineering - 5 |

International Excellence Scholarships
| We have a number of excellence scholarships available for those wishing to study in any of the five schools within the Faculty of Engineering. | |
| Who is eligible? | Any potential student who has been offered a place on any of the postgraduate masters courses within the Faculty of Engineering. You must also be liable to pay full fees at the international rate of £16,200. |

| How much are they worth? | £5,000 for full time international fee paying students |

School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering
International Excellence Scholarship
| The School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering will be awarding one full fee international excellence scholarship to the top international student applicant for 2012 entry. | |
| Who is eligible? | Any potential international student applicant who has been offered a place on any of the postgraduate masters courses within the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. You must also be liable to pay full fees at the international rate of £16,200. |

| Application deadline | 30 June 2012 (for entry in 2012), the successful applicant will be notified within two weeks of the deadline and must respond accepting the scholarship within 14 days. Ray and Naomi Simpson Scholarship
| Who is eligible? | The School of Civil Engineering offers the Ray and Naomi Simpson Scholarship to the best British applicant. If there are no British applicants then the scholarship may be awarded to the best applicant from a British Commonwealth country. |
| How much are they worth? | The Scholarship is worth £3000 towards fees and £1000 towards maintenance. |

When to pay
If you are paying your own fees you can pay the amount in two instalments, the first payable at registration. If you are supported by your government, employer, or other sponsor, you should provide a letter from them addressed to the University, confirming that the fees will be paid directly. Sponsors cannot pay by instalments. Further information can be found on the University’s website.
