Dr Miller Alonso Camargo-Valero, Director of Postgraduate Research Studies in the School of Civil Engineering, has been named as one of the top 101 innovative and creative people in Colombia, according to their national magazine Dinero.
Dr Camargo-Valero was recognised for his work on indoor air quality in hospitals, research which has been led by Dr Catherine Noakes, as well as his recent and continuing work in Colombia on resource recovery from waste.
He has also been invited to the 7th UN Habitat World Urban Forum, which is organised by the UK government. The Forum takes place 5-11 April 2014, in his home country of Colombia.
