Research student receives best paper award at 9th ISHPMIE

Research student Abdulmajid Na'Inna, who is studying obstacle interaction and scaling in gas explosions, in the Faculty's Energy Research Institute, was one of five participants recently awarded best paper at the 9th International Symposium on Hazard, Prediction and Mitigation of Industrial Explosions (ISHPMIE).

The awarding committee at ISHPMIE deemed Abdulmajid's paper, “The Acceleration of Flames in Tube Explosions with Two Obstacles as a Function of the Obstacle Separation Distance” outstanding and believed it deserved recognition for the quality of its scientific content and the clarity of its presentation.
