Graduation

Graduation is one of the most important occasions in the University calendar, it’s the official celebration of our students’ academic achievement and the culmination of their time in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Leeds.

This summer's engineering graduation ceremonies take place on Tuesday 21 and Friday 24 July. To celebrate the occasion, the Head of School after the ceremony holds a Graduation Celebration on campus for all graduates and their guests. View the graduation schedule.

Every graduation ceremony is streamed live online as they happen. All our recent ceremonies are also available to watch at anytime. Visit the webcasts webpage to find out more.

If you are attending the graduation ceremonies, visit the graduation website to find out more information.

On graduating you will be joining a professional and social network of 230,000 Leeds Alumni across the world. To find out about the range of benefits and support you can access as an alumni, visit the University of Leeds Alumni Website.

Professor Dame Ann Dowling, president of the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAE), will be receiving an honorary Doctor of Science degree during the Mechanical Engineering Graduation Ceremony on 21st July. Professor Dame Dowling is one of Britain’s most eminent engineers. She is a leading authority on developments that are enabling the control of unstable combustion systems in both aeronautics and power generation.

Graduation is a celebration of achievement and marks the beginning of a new journey.
