We have 13 research institutes, academic staff working within these institutes are always interested in discussing new collaborations to apply and develop our research skills, technologies or methodologies.
There are a number of ways we can work with you. We often work with external partners to seek grant funding for applied research or development, on a collaborative basis. Examples of funding programmes we have used for collaborative research and development are Engineering & Physical Sciences Research Council Industrial Case Awards, Technology Strategy Board Funding Competitions, the European Union Framework 7 programme. We have good track records of achieving success in each of these.
Alternatively, if you prefer to work on a direct fee basis, in which you retain full intellectual property, we would arrange a contract research or consultancy contract. For more information go to our 'expert advice and guidance' page.
If you would like to discuss a particular project, please contact business@engineering.leeds.ac.uk or the relevant research institute.
