Laboratory Opening Hours

The laboratory is open from 09.10-10.50, 11.00-12.30 and 13.45-16.50, Monday to Friday. We ask that you end work at 16.50 to allow us time to shut down the instruments and tidy up. ‘Consultancy hour’ is at 16.00-17.00 every day. This is when you can discuss analytical techniques or the work you are proposing with us, or request our help with more advanced data processing.

University Bookings

Instrument bookings may be made in person or by phone at 10.30-10.45 in the morning and 14.30-14.45 in the afternoon only. You may also request a booking by e-mail. We will need to know your name, the instrument(s) you wish to book, how many samples you wish to run, the date(s) you wish to book and you must provide an up-to-date account number to charge the work to. If you want to work with hazardous materials, you must also provide the relevant safety paperwork (MSDS, CoSHH forms etc) and mention any further important safety information relating to the work you propose.
