Facilities- Fuel Tests

A range of standard fuel property tests are available including:

• Bomb calorimetry (Parr 6200) to BS 1016
• Closed-cup flashpoint (Setaflash Series 3)
• Proximate analysis of biomasses, coals and other solid fuels to BS 1016 or draft CEN/TS standards
• Ultimate (CHNSO) analysis of solid and liquid fuels
• Ash fusion and deformation temperatures to BS ISO 540 or DD CEN/TS 15370-1 using a Carbolite CAF Digital furnace
• BET surface area
