Rapid advances in computing power and software development have led to numerous innovations in multimedia products for science, commerce, entertainment, and the performing arts. The Music, Multimedia and Electronics course provides cutting edge interdisciplinary study in these exciting and emerging technologies, crossing the boundary of arts and science. Building on core modules in electronics and music technology, the course offers specialisation in digital media acquisition, audio and image processing and multimedia techniques and applications. A distinctive feature of the course is that it covers both software and hardware aspects of electronics technology and their application to music/multimedia composition and performance.

AAB at A-level including Music or Music Technology at grade B or higher or similar evidence of musical literacy e.g. ABRSM Theory Grade 5. Plus in AS level Mathematics grade B or higher.

Engineering Diploma grade A plus Music or Music Technology at grade B or higher or similar evidence of musical literacy e.g. ABRSM Theory Grade 5. Plus AS level Mathematics grade B or higher.
- IB: 36 points overall, with 17 points at higher level to include 5 points in higher level mathematics. ABRSM Theory Grade 5 required if music is not taken at IB level.
We also welcome and accept students with a wide range of alternative UK and international qualifications.
English requirement: A pass at GCSE level in English Language (grade C or above). International students must have an English language qualification at a suitable level, for example IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
The degree is designed to equip students with skills and knowledge for a range of careers including; digital media, audio and consumer electronics, broadcasting, studio engineering and music editing and production.
