School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering

FACULTY OF ENGINEERING

Undergraduate Degree Courses in Electronic and Electrical Engineering

The majority of our undergraduate degrees are offered as integrated masters (MEng, BEng) degrees providing great breadth and depth of study for our students. Students will normally graduate after 4 years with an integrated MEng which provides students with the necessary academic qualification on the route to Chartered Engineer status, a vital distinguishing qualification in the UK job market. The MEng is, in fact, the most direct way of meeting the educational requirements for registration as a Chartered Engineer. However, some students, and in particular those from overseas, may prefer to graduate with a BEng. In this case, students can complete their studies after 3 years and then join one of the many one year masters (MSc) courses offered by the Faculty or go directly into employment.
