Welcome to e-Engineering!
Welcome to the first edition of the Faculty of Engineering's online student research journal "e-Engineering". The journal provides a route for us to showcase the very best undergraduate research being undertaken by our students. It features articles from all of the schools within the Faculty and covers a wide range of topics highlighting the diversity of research and opportunities available to our students.
The papers in the journal arise from final year research work. The students have written these papers as research articles for the journal, this was an extra task that did not necessarily form part of their assessment. It is a testament to them and their academic staff supervisors that they were willing to put in this extra work. I hope you will agree that their efforts have been very worthwhile and you will enjoy reading these papers. I would like to challenge all our students to participate in this journal and I look forward to increasing the scope and volume of work reported in future issues.
