Conference Aims

The aim of the conference is to bring together academics, researchers and practitioners in the field of steel concrete composite construction. The conference will provide an opportunity for participants to (i) review recent achievements in the advancement of knowledge and understanding in this field, (ii) share the latest trends and developments, and (iii) exchange ideas and views on current and future research areas of need.

Conference Outline

The Conference will include, but not limited to, the following topics:

  • Composite slabs, composite beams, composite columns, beams - columns, composite connections, hybrid structures, composite use of steel with CFRP.
  • Buckling and stability, fire performance, fatigue, fracture, vibrations and controls, dynamic & seismic performance, wind resistance.
  • Analysis, experiements, computations.
  • Codes, case studies, construction, fabrication & erection issues

Acceptance 31 August 2008
Final paper 18 December 2008 - Extended to 23 January 2009
Final Acceptance 6 February 2009
