Why did you decide to study Information Technology?
Usage of computer and internet systems is increasing day by day and in every aspect of our lives which makes Information technology one of the most expanding areas in science. By studying Information technology I am preparing myself to join the developing computer industry that would provide an ideal opportunity for my future career.

Why did you choose Leeds?
The most important point about University of Leeds for me was high standard of education specially in subject of IT. They are a lot of student from many countries in the university and they are drawn by the excellent standards for teaching and research and high quality academic and sport facilities.

What was the best aspect of the course so far and why?
I can say the variety .The subject embraces a variety of different but related modules .Each of them developed my skills in a particular subject and together they create specialist knowledge about IT management and techniques.

Tell us about any projects you have completed so far.
I have done two group projects on business and web development .In first project my team did research and made a presentation to provide an IT based solution to support a particular business by improving business value chain. Second project was based on developing a web site for Leeds visitors using software project management tools and techniques. The projects improved my presentation and team work skills.

What are your ambitions for the future?
I plan to go on an industrial placement to gain practical experience to work for a multinational IT company like IBM, Microsoft, etc. after graduation.

What experiences at Leeds so far do you think will particularly help you with your future career?
Useful information about recruitment progress in IT firm provided as a topic in “Professional development” module by lecturers and guest speakers from different IT companies. Also University career centre helped me by providing information about employers, advising me about my application and organizing careers fair for student to meet employers.

What other activities outside your studies did you get involved with whilst you were at Leeds?
Living in a cosmopolitan like Leeds Offers me a golden opportunity to socialise with people from different countries, backgrounds and helps me to be familiar with different cultures .I enjoy the beauties of nature, and do sports. Also I’m active in campaigning in Leeds
