Summer internships
If you don't wish to take a year out from your studies, but would still like to gain some work experience, you could apply for a summer internship.
You can find details of available summer placements on the work placement page.
Since 2006 the School of Computing offered internships for students to work for 10 weeks on a predefined project which links directly with one of the research groups in the School. These internships are a great opportunity for those students that have excelled in their studies to date and who might be interested in undertaking postgraduate research at the end of their degree. Summer 2006 projects included working in the fields of Biosystems, Computer Vision, Grid Computing, 3D Animation and Graphics. More internships will be offered this year, and details will be posted at internships page.
