Degrees accredited by the British Computer Society
The School of Computing values its relationship with the British Computer Society (BCS). BCS is the leading UK professional body for computing and information systems, setting quality standards, developing skillsĀ and informing and influencing the national agenda for IT.
The School is proud to announce that it has had its undergraduate degree programmes re-accredited by the BCS. The inspection, which lasted a day, included discussions with degree programme managers, checking quality management, programme content and relevance to industry and interviews with senior managers and current students.
Computer Science with Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology were not available at the time of the accreditation visit and therefore they are not currently accredited, but all other programmes offered by the School of Computing are accredited and we will seek accreditation for our new programmes.
