Masters scholarships (2016 entry)

The School of Computing is offering a number of scholarships to attract the very brightest students from around the world.

UK/EU

Head of School Excellence Scholarship

Who is eligible? Any UK/EU applicant who has been offered a place to study on any of the postgraduate masters courses within the School of Computing.
How are they awarded? This is an automatic scholarship awarded on condition of you achieving the equivalent of a UK first class degree.
How much are they worth? £3,000
Application deadline No deadline - automatic
Conditions apply Applicants must be self-funding, classified as UK/EU for tuition fee purposes and not be in receipt of any other University of Leeds award.

Head of School Scholarship

Who is eligible? Any UK/EU applicant who has been offered a place to study on any of the postgraduate masters courses within the School of Computing.
How are This is an automatic scholarship awarded on condition of you achieving the equivalent of a UK upper second class degree.
How much is it worth? £2,000
Application deadline No deadline - automatic
Conditions apply Applicants must be self-funding, classified as UK/EU for tuition fee purposes and not be in receipt of any other University of Leeds award.

Alumni Bursary

This is a bursary for any former student of the University of Leeds studying for a postgraduate qualification in the School of Computing. Excluding courses that are run in conjunction with other universities. This bursary is open to students who are commencing their studies from September 2013 onwards, the bursary can not be awarded retrospectively. To find out more about the Alumni Bursary, please visit the University's website.
Who is eligible? This is an automatic bursary but you have to inform us and provide evidence that you are a former student of the University of Leeds.
How much is it worth? The University will pay 10% of your fees for each year of the course. If no fees paid then no bursary is awarded.
Application deadline None – automatic. If you think you are eligible you need to contact the relevant admissions team for the course you have applied for.

 

International

Head of School Scholarship (Computing)

Who is eligible? Any international applicant who has been offered a place on any of the postgraduate masters courses within the School of Computing.
How are they awarded? This is an automatic scholarship awarded on condition of you achieving the equivalent of a UK first class degree or upper second class (2.1) undergraduate degree.
How much are they worth? £3,000
Application deadline No deadline - automatic
Conditions apply Applicants must be self-funding, full time, classified as international for tuition fee purposes and not be in receipt of any other University of Leeds award.

Alumni Bursary

This is a bursary for any former student of the University of Leeds studying for a postgraduate qualification in the School of Computing. Excluding courses that are run in conjunction with other universities. This bursary is open to students who are commencing their studies from September 2013 onwards, the bursary can not be awarded retrospectively. COLFUTURO - Scholarship Loan Scheme (Colombia)

Who is eligible? Students in Colombia interested in this Joint Graduate Loan-Scholarship Programme.
How are they awarded? Students who hold an academic offer as full-time taught postgraduate with the School of Computing at the University of Leeds and who are selected as beneficiaries of the Loan-Scholarship Programme of COLFUTURO.
How much are they worth? 20% tuition fee scholarship to all eligible students plus one 50% tuition fee scholarship.

Danang University of Technology (Vietnam)
If you are studying at the Danang University of Technology in Vietnam and wish to undertake an MSc within the School of Computing please contact our admissions team as we have an agreement with this university.

CONACYT (Mexico)
The University of Leeds has a formal cooperation agreement with the Mexican Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnologia (CONACYT) which provides reduced tuition fees to CONACYT sponsored students. Leeds has been a CONACYT partner for many years and students can study at both masters and PhD level across a wide range of subject areas.
