MRes in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology
This is a collaborative MRes programme run jointly with the Faculty of Biological Sciences and the School of Mathematics. The course aims to provide Computer Scientists or Biologists with the necessary subject specific and transferrable skills for successful research in bioinformatics and systems biology. A wide view of the subject is taken, and we aim to produce graduates with the flexibility to adapt to differing future needs.

The course is suitable for graduates in scientific disciplines, including biology, and computer science, and offers different initial modules depending on the knowledge base of the student. A module in molecular biology is offered to students from non-biological backgrounds, while students from biological backgrounds are offered an introductory module in computer programming.
