Postgraduate Study

MSc Computing and Management

This course offers graduates the opportunity to pursue their interests in both Computing and Management subjects at a postgraduate level. This MSc runs in collaboration with Leeds University Business School.

Modules taken in the Business School will give students a firm foundation in essential management issues, including marketing, finance, and organizational theory. In the School of Computing candidates will be introduced to the core fundamentals of information systems and computer science, including options in research-led computing for those who already have a first degree in computing.

Standard entry requirements

A minimum UK Upper Second Class Honours (2.1) degree or equivalent.

Delivery options Full time
English language requirements A pass at GCSE level in English Language (grade C or above). International students must have an English language qualification at a suitable level, for example IELTS 6.5 or equivalent

Based on fees for Business School programmes the fees for 08/09 are:

Typical careers

Having completed this course, graduates will be able to enter high-flying careers as IT professionals with both a sophisticated technical knowledge and the ability to approach the deployment of IT from a management perspective. Job prospects are likely to be in IT project management, the implementation of IT strategy in companies, the management of companies through IT-enabled change.
