- Leeds graduates get more jobs than others! The Higher Education Statistics Agency records that for the 3rd year running, the unemployment rate for graduates of the School is half the national average for Computing BSc's.
- On Friday 13th July, the university Chancellor, Lord Bragg, awarded an honorary DEng to Tony Wren as part of the School's 2007 graduation ceremony.
- An ultrasound simulator, developed in the School's vision group, has won first prize in the Medipex Yorkshire and Humber NHS Innovations Competition.

- Emeritus Professor Tony Wren's pioneering development of the world's first computerised train schedule in 1963 has been listed as one of the top 100 world-changing discoveries to come out of UK universities in the last 50 years.
