CAE Group Activities

The University of Leeds (and, in particular, the CAE Group of the Department of Civil Engineering) has been actively involved in the development of STEP - the International Standard for the Exchange of Product data.

The CAE Group was leading the development of AP230 - an Application Protocol for Building Structural Frame: Steelwork.

Other STEP Parts relating to Building Construction

Current STEP parts under development in the building construction domain are "Building Services: Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Application Protocol" (AP228); "Building Elements Using Explicit Shape Representation" (AP225); and the "Building Construction Core Model" (P106).
