The School of Civil Engineering is offering a number of scholarships to attract the very brightest students from around the world.

Dean of Engineering Excellence Scholarship

Who is eligible? Any UK/EU applicant who has been offered a place on any of the postgraduate masters courses (except our Advanced Concrete Technology courses) within the School of Civil Engineering.
How are they awarded? This is an automatic scholarship awarded on condition of you achieving the equivalent of a UK first class degree.
How much are they worth? £1,000
Application deadline No deadline - automatic
Conditions apply Applicants must be self-funding, classified as UK/EU for tuition fee purposes and not be in receipt of any other University of Leeds award.

Head of School Scholarship (Civil Engineering)

Who is eligible? Any UK/EU applicant who has been offered a place on any of the postgraduate masters courses (except our Advanced Concrete Technology courses) within the School of Civil Engineering.
How are they awarded? To be selected for this award, students must demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and industrial experience on the application form.
How much are they worth? £1,000
How many are available? 10

Leeds Masters Scholarships Scheme

The Leeds Masters Scholarships Scheme will be awarding 212 new students £10,000 each for Masters courses commencing at the University of Leeds in September 2015.
Who is eligible? You need to meet the full eligibility criteria to apply for this competitive award.
How much is it worth? £10,000
Application deadline 5pm on Friday 24 July 2015 

Ray and Naomi Simpson Scholarship

Who is eligible? The School of Civil Engineering offers the Ray and Naomi Simpson Scholarship to the best British applicant. If there are no British applicants then the scholarship may be awarded to the best applicant from a British Commonwealth country.
How much is it worth? The Scholarship is worth £3,000 towards fees and £1,000 towards maintenance.

The Water Conservation Trust in conjunction with WAMITAB and ESAET Bursary

Who is eligible? Any UK/EU applicant who has been offered a place on the Environmental Engineering and Project Management MSc and have been resident in the UK for at least 5 years (proof of residency is required).
How are they awarded? To be selected for this award, students must demonstrate exceptional academic achievement
How much are they worth? The bursary is worth £4,000 towards fees

Water, Sanitation and Health Engineering Scholarship

Who is eligible? Any applicant who has been offered a place on the Water, Sanitation and Health Engineering (WASH) MSc programme within the School of Civil Engineering.
How are they awarded? To be selected for this award, students must demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, experience and a clear statement of interest in water, sanitation and hygiene on the application form.  Applications will be considered by a panel of staff from the School of Civil Engineering and the Nuffield Centre for International  Health.
How much are they worth? The bursary is worth £5000 towards fees
How many are available? 4

Conditions apply This scholarship is not transferable to any other degree programme.

Alumni Bursary

This is a bursary for any former student of the University of Leeds studying for a postgraduate qualification in the School of Civil Engineering Excluding courses that are run in conjunction with other universities. This bursary is open to students who are commencing their studies from September 2013 onwards, the bursary can not be awarded retrospectively. To find out more about the Alumni Bursary, please visit the University's website.
Who is eligible? This is an automatic bursary but you have to inform us and provide evidence that you are a former student of the University of Leeds.
How much is it worth? The University will pay 10% of your fees for each year of the course. If no fees paid then no bursary is awarded.
Application deadline None – automatic. If you think you are eligible you need to contact the relevant admissions team for the course you have applied for.

International

Alumni Bursary

This is a bursary for any former student of the University of Leeds studying for a postgraduate qualification in the School of Civil Engineering. Excluding courses that are run in conjunction with other universities. This bursary is open to students who are commencing their studies from September 2013 onwards, the bursary can not be awarded retrospectively. COLFUTURO - Scholarship Loan Scheme (Colombia)

Who is eligible? Students in Colombia interested in this Joint Graduate Loan-Scholarship Programme.
How are they awarded? Students who hold an academic offer as full-time taught postgraduate with the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Leeds and who are selected as beneficiaries of the Loan-Scholarship Programme of COLFUTURO.
How much are they worth? 20% tuition fee scholarship to all eligible students plus one 50% tuition fee scholarship for the MSc Water, Sanitation and Health Engineering.

CONACYT (Mexico)
The University of Leeds has a formal cooperation agreement with the Mexican Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnologia (CONACYT) which provides reduced tuition fees to CONACYT sponsored students. Leeds has been a CONACYT partner for many years and students can study at both masters and PhD level across a wide range of subject areas.
