Employability team shortlisted for two National Awards

The Faculty of Engineering Employability team have been shortlisted for both the ‘Most improved commitment to employability’ and ‘Best university placement service’ categories in the National Undergraduate Employability (NUE) Awards 2016.

The ‘Most improved commitment to employability’ category, which the team were also shortlisted for last year, celebrates the improved effort and service of a university department for its commitment to enhance student employability. The ‘Best university placement service’ category, sponsored by Mark & Spencer, judges the best service and help offered by an Employability team to increase student’s opportunities for gaining a placement role.

Emily Timson, the Engineering Employability Business Development Manager commented “We’re delighted to have made the final once again for the Most Improved Commitment to Employability, and for this first time we are also finalists in the Best Placement Service category.”
