Research is well funded, to the level of approximately £6 million per annum, with funding from a variety of sources including UK Research Councils, the European Union, government agencies and industry.
Our research is interdisciplinary in nature and we have strong collaborative links with other schools within the University of Leeds, as well as with other academic institutes and industry around the world.
We place a strong emphasis on the transfer of knowledge to industry and technology transfer organisations. This takes the form of licences, spin-out activities, IP filings, consultancies, conference organisation and training through short courses.
Our research excellence, high levels of funding and
strong industrial connections ensures that we can
invest in the best staff and research facilities.
