Product design is an activity which defines and reflects society and culture, shaping our environment, faciliating daily life and providing a powerful medium for communication and reflection.
Our innovative multi-disciplinary degree course in Product Design has been developed to produce skilled, creative designers who understand both aesthetics and technology, key attributes identified by many leading employers in the sector. It bridges the gap between visual-arts-led and engineering-led product design courses and gives Leeds graduates a significant advantage by equipping them with a wider variety of employment opportunities.

Typical careers
Graduates can expect excellent career prospects, ranging from employment opportunities with manufacturers with in-house design departments to design consultancies. Other employers will be interested in skills and abilities developed throughout the course such as communication skills and ability to critically analyse and produce creative solutions to problems.
